Endometrium, the inner mucous lining of the uterus,
constitutes the surface where
the fertilized egg implants.

Immunohistochemistry is the technique where substances, such as growth factors, in
sections of
tissue are localized by use of specific antibodies. This technique has been central throughout my PhD studies.

Angiogenesis,
the new building of blood vessel from existing ones (Folkman, 1985).
There are numerous interesting angiogenic growth factors discovered. Below,
some of those I have studied a bit closer are listed.

analysis to quantify immunohistochemical stainings. Additionally, by use of
immunohistochemical stainings of vessels performed
stereological analysis. |
